Lauren is a postdoc studying ultrafast dynamics. Her research centres around calculating the semi-classical dynamics of molecules after photoexcitation, and the use of electronic structure theory to describe the molecules correctly.
Lauren received an MChem from the University of St Andrews. During her time in The North, she completed a Bachelor's project with Amlan K. Pal on the self-assembly of light-harvesting chromophores, and a Master's project with Tanja van Mourik and Andreas Stasch on cycloaddition reactions. She started a PhD in Edinburgh in September 2020, moving down to Oxford with Adam in 2022. She then completed her PhD in 2024, rejoining for a one-year postdoc after that.
